Terms of Service

These terms cover the website design and hosting service provided by USA Local Sites ("we", "us"), based in Toronto, Ontario. By claiming or paying for a website, you ("you", "the customer") agree to these terms.

1. The service

We build a website for your business, host it, and keep it running. Before you pay, we may build a free preview of your site using publicly available information about your business, such as your business name, address, phone number and hours. A preview is not a sale and you owe nothing unless you choose to claim it.

2. Pricing and payment

• Your first 30 days are free. After that it's $99 USD per month. There is no setup fee.
• You won't be charged during the free month. If you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• The monthly fee is billed automatically each month from the date you sign up, until you cancel.
• Prices may change in the future. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any change affects you.

3. Cancelling

There is no contract. You can cancel anytime by emailing hello@usalocalsites.com or using the contact form. Your site stays live until the end of the month you've already paid for, and you won't be billed again. Monthly fees already paid are not refunded.

4. Refunds

If you're not happy within 14 days of your first paid month, tell us and we'll refund that month in full. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable.

5. Changes to your site

Reasonable changes are included: updating hours, services, wording, photos and contact details. We aim to make changes within 2 business days. Larger requests, such as new pages or custom features, may be quoted separately and will never be charged without your agreement.

6. Your content and domain

• You own your business name, logo, photos and any content you give us. You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us.
• Your site is hosted on our domain unless you connect your own. If you already own a domain, we'll connect it at no extra cost. You keep ownership of your domain.
• If you cancel, we'll send you a copy of your site's text and images on request.

7. Availability

We use reliable hosting and aim to keep your site online at all times, but we can't guarantee it will never be unavailable. We aren't responsible for outages caused by our hosting or service providers.

8. Acceptable use

We may decline or take down a site that is used for anything illegal, misleading or harmful.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
